Review: Marika Hackman – all night

The third single from Any Human Friend is a ballad dedicated to reclaiming the image of sapphic sex while flipping overtly sexual themes, usually sung by male performers, on its head in a song that elegantly combines elements from her previous albums with her new material. Featuring an intro throwing us back to We Sleep At Last before introducing jangly guitar riffs and impressive-as-ever drumming from Jessica Batour tying the piece together this is sure to be one of the biggest hits on Hackman’s upcoming tour.
